Certificate of Registration (Customs Form 4455)

The Certificate of Registration is used by U.S. Customs to ensure that importers/exporters are complying with the laws in claiming duty free entry of exported foreign made goods that are returning to the U.S. The Certificate of Registration is to be completed by the owner or agent and is included with the other export documentation. The number of copies to be submitted varies with the type of transaction.

When using a Carnet, a Certificate of Registration is not required.
