to ShipInternational Shipments

Shipping to most foreign destinations:
- Complete a Schedule a Pick-upInternational form
and submit online.
- Complete a NorthStar Bill of Lading (BOL) and submit
online or fax a copy of the completed Bill
of Lading (BOL) to 703-532-0523.
- Complete a Commercial Invoice. Fax to NorthStar
at 703-532-0523. The signed original and 5 copies must accompany the
shipment.
- A NorthStar representative will confirm your shipment
and advise you of any Additional Forms* that may be required.
- When scheduling your shipment please make return
shipment arrangements.
- Please attach the original Bill of Lading (BOL)
to the largest piece along with the original Commercial Invoice and
other Additional Forms, if required.
Additional requirements:
- Include exact dimensions per piece.
- Include emergency contact information such as a
cell phone or hotel phone number of your company's representative in
the foreign country.
- Pack and label your shipment carefully. Each piece
should have one label with the destination address, show name and booth
number. Indicate pieces by numbering 1 of 10, 2 of 10 etc.
- Separate your material into duty free and dutiable
groups on the paperwork and on pallets.
- If shrink-wrapped or palletized, place a label
on each piece as well as outside on the shrink-wrap.
Returning from most foreign destinations:
- Complete a Schedule a Pick-upInternational form
and submit online.
- Complete a NorthStar Bill of Lading (BOL) and submit
online or fax a copy of the completed Bill of Lading (BOL) to 703-532-0523.
- Complete a new Commercial Invoice. Fax to NorthStar
at 703-532-0523. The signed original and 5 copies must accompany the
shipment.
- A NorthStar representative will confirm your shipment
and advise you of what Additional Forms* may be required.
- Complete a Power of Attorney authorizing a U.S.
Customs broker to act as your agent. The Power of Attorney may be obtained
from NorthStar.
- Attach the original Bill of Lading (BOL), the new
Commercial Invoice, and any other Additional Forms, if required, to
the largest piece.
These forms are available by going to Download Forms, or
calling 1-800-787-1800. Instructions for completing the forms are included
or a NorthStar representative will be happy to assist you.
Shipping Instructions from Show-SiteInternational
If you have not scheduled your outbound international shipment(s),
please contact NorthStar 2 business days prior to move-out. Your NorthStar
representative can be reached at *1-703-532-0520 or you may visit our
web site at www.northstarexpress.com.
Remove all old labels and re-label each piece with the outbound
destination address. Be sure that all pieces are securely closed and in
good condition.
In addition to the NorthStar Bill of Lading you must complete
the appropriate forms. A new commercial invoice must be completed on your
company letterhead and a power of attorney authorizing the US customs
broker to act as your agent for customs clearance.
Once your shipment has been packed, labeled and counted,
the NorthStar Bill of Lading and all required paper work are to be attached
to the largest piece in the shipment.

Invoice and the NorthStar Bill of Lading, international shipping may require
additional documents that will allow your material to cross international
borders and return to the United States.
