Domestic Event, Tradeshow, and Convention Shipping
Your event freight, moving coast to coast, with one person accountable for every mile.
Tell your shipping coach what's shipping, where it's headed, and when it has to be there and back. From there we plan the route and transportation method, confirm the dates, and stay on it, from pickup through delivery.
Domestic event, tradeshow, and convention shipping is the core of what we do.
Every load gets matched to the shipping method that fits its size, timeline, and budget, then handed to a coach who owns it end to end, instead of passing you between dispatch, billing, and customer service.
- Matched to the right shipping method
- One coach owns your shipment end to end
- No hand-offs between dispatch, billing, and support
How a shipment moves with NorthStar
Six stages, one point of contact. Your coach runs the same process whether it's a single pallet or a full truckload.
Discovery call
You tell us what's shipping, where it's going, the show dates, along with your favorite ice cream to keep it real!
Route & mode planning
Your coach compares LTL, full truckload, and expedited options for reliability, cost, and timing.
Pickup & palletize
We pick up and palletize with plastic wrap, any day of the week, with the proper equipment and manpower.
One coach throughout
Not a tracking number. A person who knows your shipment and answers the phone or email.
Delivery & set-up
The dock, the decorator, your management office or a meeting room, on time and intact.
Tear-down & return
Planned alongside the outbound, not scrambled for at the last minute.
Frequently asked questions
The most common questions we get from event and tradeshow managers before their first shipment.
How does this actually work?
You tell us what's shipping, where it's going and when the event is. We come back with questions you probably haven't been asked before, about your building, the venue, and the freight itself. Then we plan it, pick it up, deliver it where it needs to go, and bring back whatever comes home.
What's it going to cost?
It depends on weight, distance, timing, and what's needed at each end: a liftgate, an inside delivery, a weekend pickup. Five questions usually get us close enough to tell you whether we're the right fit, and we'll say so either way.
Can we book the return at the same time as the outbound?
Yes, and we'd encourage it. The return is the piece most often forgotten in the rush to get materials to the event.
What does "delivered where it needs to go" actually mean?
It depends on the job. Sometimes it's the loading dock. Sometimes the decorator takes it from there. Sometimes it's a management office, or two or three meeting rooms in a hotel. We confirm which with you before the truck rolls.
