Our Services — Storage

Your freight doesn’t need to come home between shows.

Sending everything back to the office and out again costs two extra legs and two more rounds of handling. We store it instead, and route the next shipment straight to the show floor.

Up to 30 days

Short term — show to show

Chicago, then LA, then San Diego, with a few weeks between. Storing between beats two extra legs and two more rounds of handling.

Beyond 30 days

Long term — no space of your own

Agencies and companies without a warehouse keep display properties with us year-round, shipped out as the calendar comes round.

How it works

1

Ship it to storage, not home

Schedule a shipment to storage the same way you’d schedule one home.

2

Keep an itemized list

What’s in each case or crate. You know what you own, and every shipment afterwards is faster.

3

Straight to the show floor

Out of storage to the next show, without passing through your office.

What determines the cost

Size

The footprint of your cases and crates.

Duration

How long the materials stay.

Frequency

How often things move in and out.

Storage is available to NorthStar shipping customers — it works because your coach already knows your calendar and where everything is going next. Worth reviewing once a year: if something hasn’t shipped in three years, it’s worth asking whether it should still be there.

Common questions

How does storage work?

You schedule a shipment to storage the same way you’d schedule one home. You keep an itemized list of what’s in each case or crate, and when the next show comes up, your coach ships it straight from storage to the show floor.

How is it charged?

By three things: the footprint of your cases and crates, how long they stay, and how often things move in and out. Your coach can price it alongside the shipping.

Short term versus long term?

Short term is up to 30 days, usually the gap between back-to-back shows. Long term is anything beyond 30 days, typically agencies and companies without a warehouse of their own who keep display properties with us year-round.

Can you ship from storage straight to my next show?

Yes. That’s the point of it. Materials go out of storage directly to the next show, without passing through your office. If materials need to be resupplied or added, they’re sent directly to the next event.
